Press Review

"Funny, caustic, poetic, sometimes even surreal, Desagnat's film surprises while remaining very faithful to the spirit of the original work."

Le Figaro - 02/22/2022

"The acceptance of this hero who undergoes dreadful things without rebelling is an endless source of laughter, especially when he gives acting lessons to the security guard who arrested him."

20 Minutes - 02/22/2022

"François Desagnat adapts Fabcaro's eponymous comic book and signs a completely irresistible fable, provided one connects with its offbeat and deadpan humor. Jean-Paul Rouve is perfect as a fugitive at the end of his rope."

Télé Loisirs - 02/22/2022

"Just like Fabcaro's comic book, the film delivers a delightful satire of infobesity, the vacuity of continuous news channels, their so-called experts who spout hot air, the buzz, or the contemporary propensity for conspiracy theories demonstrated in two clichés and three barroom aphorisms. The film becomes a joyful counterpoint to the media polarization of discourses in a France in a post-pandemic presidential campaign. Sometimes parody is worth more than all speeches."

La Libre - 02/23/2022
